New York- IceStone will debut its first CEU presentation this week, a comprehensive internet-based course focusing on Cradle to Cradle® Certification. The presentation, which is titled, “Going for Gold: A Case Study of Recycled Glass and Concrete Surfaces With Cradle to Cradle ® Certification”, is included in the U.S. Green Building Council’s own CEU which features a virtual 3-D tour of its LEED Platinum headquarters in Washington, D.C. IceStone color in Snow Flurry is installed throughout the headquarters and contributed to the LEED certification of the building.
By taking IceStone’s CEU (Continuing Education Unit), design professionals can receive Sustainable Design (SD) and Health, Safety, and Welfare (HSW) credits. The AIA, GBIC, CSI, and several other associations have approved the course, which will also be available as a podcast and as an audio presentation by January of 2011.
IceStone’s CEU is one of five presentations AECDaily and the USGBC will feature at the Greenbuild Conference and Expo in Chicago November 16-19. IceStone is an official sponsor of the conference, which is the world’s largest tradeshow dedicated to sustainable building and technologies.
