January 27, 2011 New York- IceStone’s national network grows this month with the addition of Peirce Phelps, Inc. a Philadelphia based company. Founded 85 years ago by three M.I.T. engineering graduates determined to provide high quality, cutting edge technologies and services to customers, Peirce Phelps, Inc. remains a prominent distributor of HVAC products, premium surfaces, and building automation systems throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast. The family-owned business has fostered relationships spanning generations through a high level of customer care and support.

Peirce Phelps, Inc. will be the exclusive distributor of IceStone durable surfaces in southern Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The region, bolstered by the financial, aerospace and manufacturing industries, has seen a significant rise in green building. According to a recent report by McGraw-Hill Construction, 40%-48% (by value) of all new, nonresidential construction will incorporate green building materials and systems 2015. The report also estimates that green building will become a $135 billion market by the same year.

IceStone will be the premiere green product in Peirce Phelps’s durable surface inventory, offering customers a U.S.-made material with superior sustainability. IceStone has been a go-to material in the region for years; notable clients include Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and Lockheed Martin.
